1.0 UPDATE HUB
Alchemy Factory 1.0 Guide & Changes
What changed in Alchemy Factory 1.0 and what returning players should re-check before reusing old layouts.

Alchemy Factory reached its 1.0 release in September 2026. The supplied player footage shows both returning Early Access players and fresh 1.0 playthroughs, which is useful for spotting systems that changed enough to invalidate old habits.
What returning players should re-check
- Workbench and utility-device unlock flow.
- New or revised logistics options including wagons and vertical transport.
- Shop recognition and customer-flow behavior.
- New 1.0 production utilities such as the Brew Barrel, Arcane Fountain, and Grand Portal.
- Any old blueprint that depends on a recipe or tech-tree state from Early Access.
Safe migration approach
Back up the save, identify critical support systems (fuel, fertilizer, money, steam), and change one subsystem at a time. Do not rebuild the entire factory before verifying that the first converted module remains stable.
What this guide deliberately does not claim
This package does not publish an invented complete 1.0 recipe database. When the supplied sources do not verify an exact numeric value, the page focuses on workflow and directs players to verify the current in-game number.
Post-1.0 hotfixes that matter for old saves
Two hotfixes landed right after release (September 10–11) and both touch things this page warns about:
v1.0.4962 (September 15)
- Ledger profit upgrades now calculate correctly in the statistics view. Because the underlying data structure changed, Ledger data can read wrong on the first in-game day after updating.
- Table Saws and Stone Crushers no longer accept input from Arcane Fountains by default — you decide per machine.
- Curved Tracks collide properly again and can be placed closer together.
- Fixed invisible collision around the window.
v1.0.4950 (September 11)
- Fixed an issue where the Workbench, Checkout Table or Trash Barrel could have no way to unlock in saves created before 1.0. If you migrated an Early Access save and one of those three never appeared in the unlock tree, this is the fix — update before trying workarounds.
- Fixed the mirrored Track Sorter selecting the opposite route, and added clearer indicators for Track Sorter branches.
- Fixed server names displaying incorrectly and player counts showing as negative numbers in the multiplayer lobby.
- Disabled Unreal Engine 5’s NNE, which was preventing some players from launching the game at all.
- Added clearer indicators for the NPC who handles Recognition applications, and updated the Shop Reputation section in the Manual.
v1.0.4940 (September 10)
- Fixed not being able to create a new Blueprint after editing an existing one.
- Fixed customers not being able to reach upper floors — relevant if you built a multi-storey shop layout.
- Fixed a multiplayer crash and improved latency detection in the multiplayer lobby.
Both are worth applying before you start a big migration: the unlock fix and the upper-floor fix remove two failure modes that would otherwise look like layout mistakes.
After 1.0: the v1.1 update (October 16, 2026)
The first feature update since release is live: v1.1.5023 added new devices, expanded the track system and fixed a batch of long-standing issues, with hotfix v1.1.5024 following the same day.
New devices
- Cargo Lift — a vertical lift for packages, carrying up to 16 at once.
- Recognition Display Stand — displays the Shop Recognitions you have obtained.
- Charcoal Block — a block that can transfer heat vertically.
- World Tree Block — a block that can be built without support.
Track system and movement
- Clockwork Birds gained a Shift Sprint; the game now explains how to ride tracks.
- New Merge Track and Track Sorter variants joined the rotation.
- Delete and Clone modes can select all connected tracks at once, so whole routes can be rebuilt in one action.
- Merge Track collision was optimized, and save loading is faster.
Fixes worth re-checking
- A Wagon Transfer Station variant had its track direction wrong — if a station near a junction behaved oddly before, this fix changes its behavior by design.
- Fixed Lift Shafts that could not be selected.
- Fixed the Sleep Time attribute having no effect on Dedicated Servers.
- Fixed Descent Track animation issues and several Spanish translation errors.
- Multiplayer now warns when very large numbers of items are placed at once, because the operation may fail.
Hotfix v1.1.5024 (same day)
Fixed an issue where newly added track variants could not be selected — if a v1.1 track variant refuses to select on your build, the hotfix is the answer.
